About
I’m David Gibbons - a UK-based graphic designer, content creator, consultant and sports & event photographer working across sport, public sector and corporate environments.
I help organisations communicate through clear, consistent and purposeful visual content across digital, print and live platforms.

Background
I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling, starting with photography at an early age and developing that interest across studio, landscape, wildlife and eventually sport and live events.
Over time, that evolved into a broader creative practice combining design, photography, content creation and communications support.
After living in Spain for four years in my twenties, I began working more closely with sports organisations and international projects - particularly within rugby - which became a core focus of my work.
Since then, I’ve continued to develop across a range of sectors including sport, public sector organisations, corporate clients and live event environments.

What I Do
My work sits at the intersection of design, content and communications.
Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, I focus on creating joined-up visual communication that is consistent across every platform an organisation uses.
This includes:
design for digital and print
sports and event photography
social media and campaign content
communications support and consultancy

Approach
Every organisation has its own identity, audience and priorities.
My approach is to understand those first before creating anything - ensuring the output is not just visually strong, but appropriate, consistent and aligned with wider communication goals.
I don’t rely on templates or generic systems. Instead, I focus on building content that reflects the organisation it represents and helps maintain a clear, recognisable identity across all channels.

Outside of Work
Outside of client work, I’m still driven by creativity in different forms - particularly live music and personal photography projects.
I’m also a strong advocate for mental health awareness and the importance of balance in creative work and everyday life.
